WIC Vendor Training
October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2019
In accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Federal Regulations governing the WIC Program, authorized WIC vendors must receive training annually. A face-to-face training is conducted at authorization and during September of contract renewal year. The training sessions used during the face-to-face vendor training are available in the list below.
The first segment, Introduction to WIC/Cashier Basics, is required for all store employees. The second segment Payment Processing and third Segment, Administrative Responsibilities are to be viewed by store management and owners.
It is a requirement that WIC training of store personnel be documented and the documentation on file for all store personnel. Documentation must clearly indicate WIC training, employee name, and date the training was conducted.
If your store does not have an official training form, you can find a copy of a training acknowledgement form on our website. Failure to provide this documentation as proof of annual employee training on WIC procedures is a violation of the WIC Program. If detected, the applicable sanction will be assessed and continued violations will result in disqualification from the WIC Program.
