Program Overview

This program is designed to educate home health aides and attendants on the Patient Bill of Rights and Responsibilities and to teach them how patients’ rights apply to their work. Faculty review the rights listed in the bill and describe examples of abuse and neglect. They explore the legal implications of patients’ rights and responsibilities, as well as HIPAA provisions.
