Quality Management

The Quality Management section manages the quality assurance for BCL and the Alabama County Health Department Laboratory Systems (ACHDLS) for compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) of 1988.

ACHDLS December 2015 Manual

Quality Management ensures BCL has an established Quality Assessment Plan. The Quality Management Office also disseminates training opportunities to BCL personnel and compiles monthly quality assurance data and quarterly reports.

Technical Consultants for the ACHDLS review laboratory documentation, provide semi-annual training and competency to ACHDLS personnel, proctor proficiency testing, and serve as liaisons between ACHDLS and BCL.
