Hepatitis B Birth Dose Honor Roll

The Alabama Department of Public Health Immunization Division is proud to announce that Baptist Medical Center South has been added to the Immunization Action Coalition's (IAC's) Hepatitis B Birth Dose Honor Roll with a reported birth dose rate of 100%. The Birth Dose Honor Roll recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that report a birth dose coverage rate of 90% or greater (including infants whose parents refuse vaccination) and have implemented written policies to protect all newborns from hepatitis B virus infection prior to hospital discharge. The honor roll promotes awareness of the importance of the HepB birth dose within the immunization community. View the name, location, and vaccination coverage rate of the qualifying organizations. The ADPH Immunization program congratulations BMC South on this award and thanks them for all they do to protect all infants against hepatitis B virus infection!
