Second Annual Share Your Smile Contest

After a second successful year of the Share Your Smile with Alabama Photo Contest, The Alabama Department of Public Health Oral Health Office has officially named the lucky third grade winners!

From almost 60 applicants, Brian Escobar of Jacksonville and Ruby Velazquez of Arab were selected as the overall winners of the contest. They will be spotlighted in the ADPH marketing campaigns to promote children's oral health throughout the 2019 fiscal year.

Be sure to check back for more updates, including a special Live News Conference with our winners which will be held on February 1 in Montgomery, AL. We look forward to sharing the smiles of both our winners as we kick off National Childrens Dental Health Month in February.

First Annual Share Your Smile Contest 2018

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) held our first annual “Share Your Smile with Alabama” statewide photo contest in fall 2017.

Two children, one girl and one boy, were selected from photo submissions as the overall winners of the campaign. Kerrigan Benn of Jacksonville and Haedyn Leverette of Montgomery were chosen as the contest winners. The pair of third graders will be spotlighted in ADPH marketing campaigns to promote children’s oral health in the state.
