Influenza and Pneumonia
Number Nine Leading Cause of Death for Men in Alabama
Influenza and Pneumonia are both diseases of the lungs and can range from mild to life threatening. Both can be of particular concern to persons over 65 and persons who have chronic disease or impaired immune systems.
Wash your hands and cough into a tissue or the crook of your elbow to avoid the spread of influenza. Seek medical attention if symptoms become worse to help avoid complications such as pneumonia.
