“Drive-through” COVID-19 testing clinics will be offered by the Macon County Health Department in Shorter and Tuskegee to patients who meet the testing criteria and call for an appointment at (334) 727-1800.
The drive-through clinics are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, May 21, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Prairie Farm Community Center, 45 Tysonville Road, Shorter
Thursday, May 28, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Macon County Health Department, 812 Hospital Road, Tuskegee
To be tested, individuals must meet these criteria:
The patient is a resident (with or without symptoms) of a long-term care facility and the facility has laboratory-confirmed cases in residents or staff, or are
Symptoms of COVID-19 consist of either cough or shortness of breath (difficulty breathing) or at least two of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.
