The Montgomery County Health Department will host three drive-up flu vaccination clinics in December which are scheduled as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 1, 9-11 a.m.
Metropolitan Church, 3108 Rosa L Parks Ave., Montgomery
  • Friday, December 11, 9 to 11 a.m.
Hilliard Chapel AME Zion Church, Parking Lot, 567 S. Hall St., Montgomery
  • Tuesday, December 15, 9-11 a.m.
St. Paul AME Church, 706 E. Patton Ave., Montgomery

No appointment is needed. The flu vaccines are free and will be provided for those 19 years of age or older. Facial coverings are required, and patients are asked to wear short sleeves. This vaccine is not the high dose flu vaccine for people 65 and older.

Getting a yearly flu vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and your family from potentially serious complications during influenza season. Among the vaccines’ benefits are reducing the risk of flu illness, doctors’ visits, hospitalization and even death.

Flu symptoms include fever, headache, sore throat, muscle aches and fatigue. These symptoms are like COVID-19 symptoms and may make illnesses more difficult to diagnose and treat. Getting a flu vaccine will reduce the chances of possible misdiagnoses and of getting both diseases at the same time.
