Community meeting on January 28 will provide information to Lowndes County residents about the Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Program

The Alabama Department of Public Health, Bureau of Environmental Services, will hold its first community meeting associated with the Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Program on January 28 at 1 p.m. at the Mosses Complex Auditorium in Mosses.

Leaders will present information about voluntary applications for an approved onsite sewage disposal system including:

• Who is eligible
• How to apply
• Conditions of participation

Applications will be distributed at the informational session. Owners of both houses and mobile homes whose residences are in the unincorporated areas of Lowndes County which need a proper waste disposal system may apply.
