Project Description
The Tuscaloosa County Health Department (TCHD) delivers pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection prevention services to high risk youth between the ages of 10 and 19 in the Fayette, Tuscaloosa, Pickens, and Walker county areas. Facilities served include, but are not limited to, Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center (TCJDC); Special Programming for Achievement Network (SPAN); Re-Direction, Education, Accountability, Collaboration, Home Stability (REACH); Upward Bound; National Social Work Enrichment Program; and local foster care group homes. Curricula include Love Notes, Seventeen Days, and Making Proud Choices! for Youth In Out-of-Home Care.
