Program Overview

The purpose of this broadcast is to enhance the ability of emergency management and public health practitioners to effectively define, locate and reach vulnerable populations to protect them in the event of emergencies. This broadcast was planned to reduce the likelihood of unnecessary illness, injuries and deaths in the future, especially for special, at-risk, vulnerable populations. The topic areas include special populations, emergency management infrastructure, health disparities, available resources and emergency preparedness.
