The Russell County Health Department provides the following services to the public.

Vital Records

Certified birth and death certificates for a vital event which occurred within the State of Alabama are available upon request for a fee. You may print the application and take it to any local county health department in the State of Alabama or mail it along with the appropriate fee to:

  • Vaccinations - Influenza and Pneumococcal
  • Medicaid Assistance Program (MAPS)
  • Clinical Laboratory Testing
  • Fee Income Schedule (based on income)
  • TeleHealth (remote monitoring for Patient First patients only)
  • Nurse Practitioner Available on Tuesday and Thursday.
