ADPH seeks Pharmacy Benefits Management proposals

The Alabama Department of Public Health announces a request for Pharmacy Benefits Management proposals. All entities submitting proposals must have experience with managing AIDS drug assistance programs (ADAP). The goal of the Pharmacy Benefits Manager request for proposals is to improve the health outcomes of low-income persons living with HIV in Alabama.

Sharon Jordan, director of the HIV Prevention and Care Division, stated, “The purpose of this acquisition is to maintain a network of pharmacies for underinsured and uninsured ADAP-Rx program participants that assures equitable geographical availability of medication.”

Eligibility will be based on a minimum of 10 years of experience managing an ADAP program and a proven ability to provide services in all 67 counties in Alabama. The deadline to send a letter of intent to submit a proposal is Friday, November 17, 2017, by the close of business, 5 p.m. CST. The deadline to submit a proposal is December 8, 2017.
