Hospitals, healthcare systems, and clinics in Alabama are promoting the health and safety of their communities by adopting 100% smokefree policies to protect employees, patients, and visitors from secondhand smoke.

While it has become relatively common for hospitals and health facilities to have policies requiring all buildings be smokefree indoors, the list below only includes hospitals and health facilities that have gone above and beyond to protect employees, patients and visitors with entirely smokefree campuses, not only indoors, but outdoors as well. Their policies are based on the American Nonsmokers’ Rights Foundation’s Smokefree Model Policy.
