Important Notice: The Butler County Health Department building in Greenville was lost to a fire on June 30, 2024. Fortunately, no persons were in the building then, and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) staff is working to find a temporary space to provide health services nearby. In the meantime, community members are encouraged to contact the Crenshaw County Health Department or other neighboring health department locations for service. The ADPH website provides all county health department locations' contact information and operating hours. ADPH extends our gratitude to the first responders who responded and put out the fire.

The Butler County Health Department offers the public WIC, environmental, home care, and clinical services. Clinical services include STD testing and treatment, family planning, childhood and other vaccines, and breast and cervical cancer screening. Certified copies of birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates may be obtained from this health department.

Free Communication Assistance
