Healthy Weight Initiative

The Healthy Weight Initiative is a collaborative project between the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama State Department of Education. The goal is to provide health resources and training to 21st Century Community Learning Centers and Dependant Care grantees. Each year, the HWI conducts summer trainings to these programs for professional development. Training faculty offer presentations on on a variety of health related topics. In 2013, the HWI sponsored The Road to Good Health is Paved with Good Choices.
