Prematurity Summit 2014

November 14, 2014; Montgomery, Alabama

Conference Sponsors:
Alabama Department of Public Health
The March of Dimes

The Alabama Department of Public Health and the March of Dimes Prematurity Summit is meant to understand many of the factors that contribute to Alabama’s high prematurity rate which result in high cost to the state and increased infant morbidity and mortality; rates that are above the national average. This summit brought together health professionals from around the state to raise awareness and encourage enhanced services and education in communities that will in time, reduce some of the leading factors of preterm deliveries.
