Program Overview

Start Talking Alabama is a social media campaign that was created to reach young gay men of color in Alabama. This program will broaden the scope to include the larger LGBTQ community. Program faculty will discuss the impact of stigma and discrimination as experienced personally, by the LGBTQ community, their advocates and allies in the south with emphasis on Alabama.

Target Audience

Nurses, social workers, public health educators, school counselors, those providing care for persons living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS, members of the LGBTQ Community, persons providing prevention/treatment
