Program Overview

Breast and cervical cancer affect thousands of women each year, but early detection and prevention can save lives.
This webinar will provide information about the risk factors, warning signs, and steps women can take to protect their
health. Participants will learn why regular screenings, such as mammograms and cervical cancer screenings, are so
important and how early detection is pivotal to determining the most effective treatment option.

The webinar will also explore some of the challenges that can make it difficult for individuals and families to access
preventive healthcare, including fear, cost, and lack of awareness about available services. Most importantly,
participants will leave with information about the Alabama Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program, Operation
WIPE OUT Cervical Cancer, and ways to protect yourself from these cancers. Our goal is to create a welcoming and
informative space where community members feel empowered to prioritize their well-being.
