Become a Child Passenger Safety Technician
Do you have a passion for keeping Alabama kids safe by making sure they are safe on every ride? If so, please consider becoming a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician through the Safe Kids Program. Register for Training
Find a Course
- Visit Safe Kids Worldwide
- Click on “Find a Course”
- Scroll down to “Active Courses”
- In the “state” drop down, choose the state you are wanting to take a class in
- Click “Search”
--- The results will be able to show you available courses in your state - Scroll down to “Find a Course Now” and then click on the link “See courses in your area”
- Click on “Register for this course”
- If you do not see a class in your area or near you and would like to schedule a class, please contact Bentasia Parker, Child Passenger Safety Program Coordinator, at (334) 206-7941.

- Visit Safe Kids Worldwide
- Click on “Log in”
- On the log in page, scroll down and click “Log In - CPS Tech/Tech to Be”
- On the log in portal, under “Don’t Have an Account?”, click on “Create an Account" and follow the directions to "Create a New Individual Account"
- On the site's homepage, click “Become a Tech”
- There’s some helpful general information located on the “Become a Tech” page to provide a brief overview about the role of Child Passenger Safety Techs
