The Macon County Health Department provides the following services to the public.

Vital Records

Certified birth and death certificates for a vital event which occurred within the State of Alabama are available upon request for a fee. You may print the application and take it to any local county health department in the State of Alabama or mail it along with the appropriate fee to:

  • Women's Health – Annual with Pap Smear and Breast Exam
  • Alabama Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (ABCCEDP)
  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) - Testing, Treatment, Counseling, and Partner Notification
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) - Application, Voucher Issuance, and Nutrition Counseling
  • Medicaid Assistance Program (MAPS)
  • Well Woman Alabama Program
  • Seasonal Vaccinations – Influenza, COVID and Pneumococcal
  • Clinical Laboratory Testing
  • TeleHealth (remote monitoring for Patient First patients only
  • Fee Income Schedule (based on income)
  • Nurse Practitioner- available on Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday
