Home Care Program
The Marion County Health Department Home Care Program uses a holistic approach to provide home health care services prescribed by a physician to residents of Marion County. Services are delivered to qualified homebound Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance recipients.

A home health team of highly trained professional staff provides care on an intermittent part-time basis in the privacy of the home to acutely and/or chronically ill individuals. Services provided may include:
- Skilled Nursing
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Language Pathology (as available)
- Occupational Therapy (as available)
- Medical Social Services
- Home Health Aide
Our staff can provide disease management of many conditions and symptoms that were previously limited to the hospital setting, including:
- Post-surgery Care
- Heart Failure
- COPD
- Diabetes Mellitus
- Hypertension
- Stroke
- Wound Care
- Pediatric Care
- Arthritis
- Alzheimer's
- Muscle Skeletal Conditions
- Medication Teaching/Management
Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Skilled Nursing Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.
Eligibility
Eligibility varies by the insurance and reimbursement requirements and by each individual's specific medical needs. A physician order is required for all services. The Marion County Health Department Home Care Program is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Medicare Advantage participating provider. For more information, please call 1-800-358-8327.
