Home Health Services

The Talladega County Home Health Program provides home health care services to residents of Tallapoosa, Talladega, and Coosa Counties who meet eligibility requirements.

The Talladega County Health Department is a direct service provider of care in the homes of residents of Talladega, Tallapoosa, and Coosa Counties.

The department is a Medicare and Medicaid-certified provider for home health care. The home health team provides professional care on an intermittent part-time basis in the privacy of the home to acutely and/or chronically ill individuals. Several treatments, previously limited to the hospital setting, can now be provided in the home.

Home Health office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. For more information, call 256 249-4893, or toll free at 1-800-843-8803. On-call service is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays.

Eligibility

Eligibility varies by insurance and reimbursement requirements and each individual's specific medical needs. A physician's order is required for all services.
