2023 Food Package Submissions are Now Open!
The Alabama WIC Program is accepting food submissions for the 2023 Alabama Approved Food List through January 17, 2022. During the open food submission period, food items that are not currently authorized will be accepted for consideration. If approved, these foods would be authorized beginning October 1, 2022.
In addition to the WIC-eligible nutrition content and package size, statewide availability of the food, price and overall customer buy-in are things we will strongly consider when reviewing the foods. Please make sure to include where the food can be purchased within the state of Alabama, the suggested retail price, as well as nutrition content making the food WIC eligible and package size in your food submission.
Email further questions or food submissions for consideration to:
mandy.darlington@adph.state.al.us or call 1-888-942-4673.
