USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS)

The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This agency encompasses 15 federal nutrition assistance programs which includes the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. PRAMS

The Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) is a joint research project between state departments of public health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). On a personal level, moms can positively influence the success rate for future healthy pregnancies and deliveries by sharing their experiences with the PRAMS program. Maternal and Child Health

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services Program protects and promotes the health of children and youth, mothers, and families. Funds provided by the Federal MCH Services Title V Block Grant Program allow Alabama to use dollars to assure continued improvement in the health, safety, and well-being of pregnant women, infants, children, adolescents, and their families: including women of reproductive age, fathers, and children and youth with special health care needs. National Maternal Health Hotline

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) is pleased to provide the National Maternal Health Hotline to new and expecting parents. The Hotline is free, confidential, and available 24/7 in both English and Spanish. Individuals can call or text the Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262) to be connected with a trained counselor who will listen and provide support.
