Reportable Diagnoses

Reportable Diagnoses for Head and Spinal Cord Injuries (AHSCIR) - Required by Law

Facilities must include all reportable head and spinal cord injuries that meet the following criteria:

• Patients diagnosed or treated and admitted to acute care hospital facility in the state. (If the medical record is the property of the reporting institution, the case must be included in the database).
• All confirmed cases of head and spinal cord injury as a primary and/or secondary diagnosis must be reported.
