Family Readiness Guide
Many types of disasters can create public health problems, such as weather, chemical, radiological, and biological events. Injury or illness can occur as a direct result of the event, or as a result of people trying to cope with the event. The most important fact to remember about any disaster is that by being prepared, you can help prevent or reduce harm to your family, yourself, and others. This booklet was written to give you basic disaster preparedness education.
