EHR Integration
The Alabama PDMP has partnered with Bamboo Health to utilize, analyze, and present information from the Alabama PDMP into the clinical workflow of all eligible prescribers and pharmacists in Alabama via Bamboo Health's PMP Gateway and NarxCare platforms.

By obtaining Alabama PDMP prescriptions information and NarxCare through PMP Gateway, which can include data from neighboring states, this one-click workflow process eliminates the need for prescribers and pharmacists to leave their workflow to access the Alabama PDMP website to request a patients' controlled substance prescription history.
Alabama PDMP Information and NarxCare will be made available at no cost to all Alabama healthcare providers via their EHR and pharmacy management system vendors and PMP Gateway. It is important to note, however, that not all EHR and pharmacy management system vendors are currently integrated. Your integration process and duration time is dependent upon your provider.
To request EHR integration, please complete the following steps:
Integration Request Process:
- Visit the Customer Connect portal.
a. Click Create an Account in the top right-hand corner.
b. Login and follow the on-screen prompts to provide the needed information for your integration request.
c. Sign all necessary agreements within the portal and complete your application. - Upon receipt of your completed application, Bamboo Health will submit your request to the state for final approval.
- Upon state approval, credentials will be sent to your organization’s primary contact and/or your EHR/PMS vendor, per their onboarding process.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your healthcare organization’s primary point of contact.
