Home Care Services

Home Health Program

The Clarke County Health Department provides home health services prescribed by a physician to residents of Clarke County. Services are delivered to qualified home-bound Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial insurance recipients. Our home health program allows the patient the opportunity to receive physician-prescribed skilled care in the comfort of their own home. Below is a list of services provided to patients under our home health program.

  • Skilled Nursing Services: Licensed, trained Registered Nurses provide complete physical assessments, wound care, central line and g-tube maintenance, IV therapy, medication administration, and other nursing services.
  • Home Health Aides: Certified Home Health Aides care for our patients' personal hygienic needs, change linens, perform light laundry duties, and assist with the preparation of small meals.
  • Medical Social Services: Licensed medical social workers assist our patients in coping with their social, economic, and emotional needs by helping them gain access to and utilize available community services and resources.
