Seafood Labelling - Verified Complaint Form

Alabama Law requires a complaint concerning seafood country of origin labeling to be verified with a signature from the complainant. In order to accept complaints electronically, you must use an Adobe ID. If you have created an Adobe ID in the past, it should allow you to authenticate your identity. If you have never created an Adobe ID, use these instructions.

Once you have an Adobe ID, you can access the Seafood Labeling – Verified Complaint Web Form.

If you would prefer to print and complete the form by mail, you can download the PDF version. You must sign the printed copy before you email the form to [email protected] or mail the form to:

Answer: No, the new law exempts those products from the country of origin labeling.

Answer: Yes. Any fish and/or shellfish served in a restaurant, grocery store, deli or seafood department, or seafood market is subject to the law. The intent of the Seafood Labeling Law is to address labeling issues at these food service establishments.

Answer: No. The current Alabama Catfish Law still applies to catfish and is an entirely separate law.
