Geographic preference is one of the many factors used to decide where they live and work. The Alabama page of 3RNet offers job opportunities grouped into three main areas of the state. Anyone is able to view limited information about these job opportunities, however when you register as a candidate, you will be allowed to see more detailed information. If you are a health care professional in the primary care disciplines we serve, you will be referred to those opportunities if you select Alabama as a state of interest.

- Alabama Health Careers is comprehensive site providing information on health professions and scholarships offered through Alabama hospitals.
The Minority Rural Health Scholars Program
- The Minority Rural Health Scholars Program seeks to increase the number of minority students from rural Alabama who qualify for admission to medical school. The program is for high school graduates who, in addition to taking classes at the University of Alabama, also are provided tutorials to enhance their knowledge and test-taking skills to achieve competitive scores on the Medical College Admissions Test, or MCAT.
The Rural Medicine Program (RMP)
- The RMP is a jointly sponsored program between the University of Alabama School of Medicine (UASOM) and Auburn University's College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM).
- Summer Scrubs is an intensive career exploration opportunity for rising 9th and 10th grade students in Mobile and Baldwin counties who are considering careers in healthcare.

- This website provides a resource for exploring dental schools and careers.
UAB's Huntsville & Tuscaloosa Rural Pre-Med Internship Program
- UAB provides an eight-week summer program both in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa for pre-medical students interested in serving in a rural community. The 2024 Rural Pre-Medical Internship application program has closed.
