Start Talking Alabama

Start Talking Alabama logo

Start Talking Alabama is a social media program that was originally created to reach young gay men of color in Alabama. This program has broadened its scope to include the larger LGBTQ community and other high-risk priority populations. Start Talking Alabama seeks to increase HIV awareness and decrease the stigma by sharing prevention, testing, and treatment information, and support. Events and discussions will also highlight the impact of stigma and discrimination as experienced personally by the LGBTQ community, their advocates and allies in Alabama and neighboring states' counties.
