Training for ADPH Staff

Team Huddles: This training provides a method for using rapid team meetings to improve a process using the QI cycle. If you are looking to lead or participate in a team improvement project, this is great training. It provides a refresher on the QI process and how to work through the basic steps of the process using short, frequent meetings. This is available for ADPH staff through Healthicity. CEUs for nurses and social workers are approved for this course.

Root Cause Analysis: This training is targeted to facilitators who wish to lead a team through using the 5 whys to identify more effective solutions. This is available for ADPH staff through Healthicity. CEUs for nurses and social workers are approved for this course.

Goal Statement: Any QI team needs clearly defined goals with measurable performance measures so that everyone on the team understands what they are working toward accomplishing. This helps the team focus on the scope of the project. This training uses a comprehensive goal statement template to help think through what is important, what barriers are immovable, and what success looks like. This is available for ADPH staff through Healthicity. CEUs for nurses and social workers are approved for this course.

Coaching: Team and individual coaching is available to all ADPH programs, county health departments, and district health offices upon request from OPM. Coaching is tailored to meet the needs of the program and often ranges from reviewing QI project work and providing input on how it can be improved to facilitating team meetings and actively leading projects. The capacity and availability of OPM staff is the primary barrier to providing unlimited coaching. Please Contact Us for information on setting up coaching sessions.
