Collaboration and Coordination

• Alabama EMSC has coordinated with six regional EMS agencies to provide more opportunities for continuing education for EMS personnel.
• The EMSC advisory committee is active with all positions filled. Committee members include representation from American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Emergency Physicians, Alabama Highway Safety Administration, Alabama Hospital Association, Emergency Nurse, School Nurse, EMSPs, and Family Representative.
• ADPH Center for Emergency Preparedness has partnered with the EMSC program to work on a joint performance measure to recognize hospitals as being prepared to manage pediatric medical emergencies.
