How do I qualify for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program?

NHSC Loan Repayment Applicants must have accepted a position at a NHSC approved site and be fully licensed and certified. Information regarding NHSC approved sites may be found at the NHSC Jobs Center or by contacting the Alabama Office of Primary Care and Rural Health's National Health Service Corps Program Manager at Robert.Boyles@adph.state.al.us.

How does the application process work?

Clinicians interested in applying for one of the National Health Service Corps Programs may sign up for email alerts advising prospective applicants when the application cycle will open. Applications are given preference based on the HPSA designation score.

Can I still apply if my site is in a HPSA but not an approved NHSC site?

If a clinician is interested in serving at a site that is in a HPSA but not an approved NHSC site, that site needs to submit a NHSC Site Application. More information about the NHSC Site Application and criteria for consideration may be found here.
