Opioid Crisis in Alabama: From Silos to Solutions
The Opioid Crisis in Alabama: From Silos to Solutions is led by the Quality Committee of the Alabama Healthcare Improvement Task Force in coordination with representatives from public health, mental health, the treatment community and law enforcement. The 2017 summit was designed to bring together legislators, regulators, educators, healthcare providers, law enforcement professionals and others to examine the crisis from the national view, the state view, addiction and treatment in general and best practices from other states. The ultimate outcome of the summit is to bring about policy change in our state to positively impact the crisis.
