Health Behavior Change: Using Motivational Interviewing
In this presentation, Dr. Berger, professor and head of the Department of Pharmacy Care Systems at Auburn University, discusses motivational interviewing techniques. The Alabama Wellness Alliance promotes these techniques as a method to work with persons who need to lose weight or make a lifestyle behavior change to improve health outcomes.
Dr. Bruce A. Berger was awarded an Alumni Professorship in 1996 for outstanding teaching, research, and service at Auburn University. He conducts workshops on health behavior change, strategies for improving treatment adherence leadership, interpersonal effectiveness, managing angry or difficult people, managing change, and managing resistance to change.
